Position

We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic person who can continuously learn and solve problems, and help others do the same. You will manage support processes and resources, based on your existing experience and ability to adopt management responsibilities over time. Managing Developer Support entails not only personnel and resource management, but problem triage, improvements and corrections to support systems, collecting of support metrics, etc… You will also work with developers (email and phone), answering/troubleshooting their C/C++/C# code-level questions/problems with a high level of customer advocacy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Taking initiative in improving overall customer satisfaction.
  • Collecting data on support trends, presenting to other team members, and recommending actions based on the data.
  • Providing answers to developer inquiries concerning proper software usage, system requirements, configurations, and application architecture.
  • Analyzing and reproducing complex problems with C/C++/C#/Java - based 3D graphics and geometric modeling software to identify defects and recommend corrective action.
  • Maintaining and improving the Developer Support Database and Developer focused website (developer.hoops3d.com)
  • Remaining abreast of technology and market changes that may affect or enhance our products
  • Providing feedback on and suggesting improvements to product documentation, programming examples, white papers, etc…


Requirements

Minimum required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Mathematics, Information Technology, etc...
  • 1-2 years experience with writing and debugging C#, Java, C or C++ code
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills. This position requires proficient English speaking and writing.
  • Ability to work well in a task-oriented, team environment

The following are a big plus:

  • Familiarity with computer science concepts
  • Familiarity with computer graphics or solid modeling
  • Experience working as part of a team
  • Experience with managing, leading and/or educating others
  • Hands-on experience with graphics systems or solid modeling components
  • Experience working in a multi-platform environment (Windows, UNIX, Mac OSX)
  • HTML and FTP experience
