PARTNER FOCUS

Devices such as 3D Connexion's 3D Navigator have been pre-integrated to allow HOOPS-based applications to easily enhance the interaction of their users.

"We are very excited to be working with Tech Soft 3D to integrate support for our 3D mice into HOOPS 16.1. With this announcement, the number of applications that will be able to easily support 3D mice rapidly increases, ultimately giving designers more control of 3D objects and environments."

Location: Berkeley, CA
Toolkit: HOOPS

HOOPS Application Development Workshops are the most efficient and
effective method for new developers to become familiar with the usage
of the HOOPS API.New programmers using HOOPS, or those looking to
evaluate HOOPS will find these sessions, and the opportunity to meet
the core HOOPS development team, invaluable. The program involves 3
days of classroom sessions followed by 1 dayof one-on-one assistance
for application-specific issues or custom prototyping.

PROGRAMMERS' NOTES

Technical Question:

I'm looking for a performance boost. Based on what I have seen in your HOOPS samples, I suspect my data organization may not be optimal for hoops rendering, but I need to keep it structured this way for other reasons. Given that, is there anything that I can do to improve performance?

Answer:

Yes, there is. In version 16, two new capabilities were introduced which can offer significant performance improvements for sub-optimal segment hierarchies.
